The Inner Excellence Freedom Project is a volunteer-run, 501c3 non-profit charity created to serve the disadvantaged by building houses for kids and families in need. It’s all part of the goal to share God’s love, wisdom and courage, and perhaps most of all his joy and freedom.
We’ve partnered with Youth With a Mission (YWAM) Baja San Diego and their Homes of Hope program to build houses in Mexico—AND provide a full Inner Excellence retreat (normally $40k – $70k).
- WHAT:
- Build a house for a family in need AND experience an Inner Excellence Retreat.
- COST:
- $2,895/person plus hotel (includes full Inner Excellence retreat and YWAM house build + cost of the house + supplies).
- EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Zero. None whatsoever. All materials provided as well as expertise.
- WHAT HAPPENS:
- You get to change a family’s life forever (and generations to come) and your life changes as well (and that’s just the house build!) You also participate in the full Inner Excellence Retreat at a fraction of normal price.
What does a build & retreat look like?
Day 1 – Friday, November 7, 2025
1:00 pm All participants fly to San Diego International Airport (pickup time is 1:30 pm)
5:30 pm Introduction to YWAM/Welcome meeting
6:30 pm Taco dinner at YWAM base

How do we choose our families?
- YWAM Homes of Hope finds families most in need
- Each family applies to YWAM to begin the selection process
- Houses are built in Tijuana, Mexico or Ensenada, Mexico (Baja)
The goal of every project is to provide a home (and hope!) that will bring long-lasting tangible benefits to the entire community for decades to come.
